Starbucks Reserve Roastery Feb. 2016

Well I knew this day would come....Yep Starbucks has a monthly subscription box! Now don't get me wrong, I am happy about this, but my husband....He is over the moon...Anyway...

So nothing much to look at. The coffee came in pretty much a plane Jane box, but it's coffee...I'm good...

Let me tell you a little bit about this subscription box. It is a monthly box. It cost $24 a month, and from my understanding you will get whole beans. Here is a little bit of info from Starbucks.

Our constant travels around the world take us in search of small-lot, one-of-a-kind coffees that are distinctive enough to earn our Starbucks Reserve® label. Of these rare coffees, we’ve created an even more exclusive selection not found in Starbucks cafés, but through this new monthly subscription.
With a Starbucks Reserve® Roastery Subscription, we will roast a new, exceptional coffee on the second Sunday of each month at our Starbucks Reserve® Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle. The coffee will be on its way to you the very next day.
Once purchased:
  1. Coffees roast on the second Sunday of the month.
  2. You will receive an email same day sharing details of the exquisite coffee on its way.
  3. Each month, you will receive one 8.8oz bag of whole bean coffee that will ship the following day and arrive to you within 5-8 business days.
  4. You will continue to receive coffees monthly until you cancel this subscription.
So we Finally received our coffee. My husband received the email saying our coffee was on the way. Yeah it took over a week to get here. So that kind of bugged me. Our coffee this month is Rwanda. I sure hope I'm telling you the correct information (Yeah I know Folgers and Maxwell house, that's about as far as I go)....It wasn't a bad coffee. I thought it had a little bit of a bitter taste. My husband enjoyed it.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time

Peanut Butter Jelly Time, Peanut Butter Jelly Time.... Now that this little "song" is also stuck in your head, I will tell you about Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow palette.

Ahh I'm in Love...

Inside this palette is 9 different shades that smell like...You guessed it Peanut
butter (and Chocolate)! Oh and don't worry according the the packaging this product doesn't contain actual peanuts.
So let me tell you the colors

From Left to right
This is the Soft & Sweet shades
1. Spread the Love
2. Peanut Butter
3. Peanut Butter Cup

Rich & Creamy Shades (2nd Row)
1. Bananas
2. Peanut Brittle
3. Jammin'

PB & J Shades (3rd Row)
1. Extra Creamy
2. Jelly
3. Nuts About U

I swatched each one of these shades and I'm really impressed. The only one that seemed to have a good bit of fall out is Peanut Brittle. But Ahhh Jelly is sooo pretty!

So tell me what you think! Has anyone else given this bad boy a try?

Smashbox Insta-Matte

This will be a short but sweet post. Ahh I'm in Love with the Smashbox Insta-Matte! You can turn your cream lipstick into a matte lipstick. So fun..I might be a dork...

After

Before

So I used Unicorn Tears from Too Faced. You can see it went from super shinny to matte. So much fun! It only takes a small amount of the gel to make your lipstick matte. Now you do end up loosing a little bit of your lipstick, but honestly not enough to worry about it (just add a tiny bit extra). The gel feels nice on your lips, not too heavy, and not vaseline like.
You are only suppose to use this on cream lipstick, but I do plan to try it on different kinds. Apparently I only have 3 lipsticks...Humm..Might have to go shopping for some more!

BoxyCharm Feb. 2016

I finally received this month's BoxyCharm. It's been on the way to me for a week now. Anyway I received 6 items.

1. Spongelle You have my heart on a string
This is a heart shaped body wash. It's cute and smells nice, but unfortunately I can not use this. My skin is just too sensitive.

2. Beauty for Real Blush & Glow Stick
This is cute. It's a 2 in one, blush and a highlighter. The formula is nice, but I see you having to set this with something. I had it on for a good 10 minutes and it was still really tacky.
Please ignore my nails that need to be done!

3.  Shray Ms. Amazing Facial Mask
This is pretty nice. It's for sensitive skin, so I'm giving it a try now. I really am. Got this bad boy on as I type.

4. Ofra Banana Power Godet
I hate this. Not even close to being my color. It's a very yellow tint. Apparently you can use it as an all over powder, concealer for dark circles, a setting powder, or a eyeshadow. I'm good, thank you anyway.

5. Freeze 47*7 Anti Aging Eye Serum
This product is a sample size. I'm sorry but every product like this I have tried doesn't work. I will give it an honest try, but I'm doubtful

6.  Realtree for Her
This Stinks! And it lingers forever! But the little spray tube is cute!

Overall I'm not thrilled with this box, I'm really considering cancelling it. If I do cancel this box, what New box would you like to see me review??

Ipsy Feb. 2016

So this month's Ipsy theme is Pretty In #IPSYPINK

This bag is...different...

Inside was 5 samples
1. Ciate London
This is a Mini bottle of nail polish. My shade is Hutch-My go to red
The color is a pretty red. Seems to be a nice smooth formula.

2. treStique Baby Blush Stick
The color is Bora Bora Coral. Ok I've never head of a blush stick. Anyway...It's actually nice. Goes on kind of thick, but it smooths out really well. I just blended and smoothed this blush with my fingers, but I'm sure a brush would work just as well. Unfortunately the color on me looks horrific!

3. ModelCo Lip Lacquer
My color was Morocco. My husband said it looks like I put Vaseline on my lips...Ok enough said. And Ps it felt that way too...

4. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye
Ok let me start off saying, the shade I received is not my color, but I tried it anyway. I can't say anything for the coverage because like I said not my color. But the formula was eh...Now the package says a little bit goes a long way, and they are not joking! This concealer did go on smooth, but didn't try. You would have to set it with powder, which I hate. It felt very heavy on my face and tacky ( I didn't set it)

5. Theorie Argan Oil
I used this in the shower tonight and haven't noticed a difference, but I will keep using it and give you guys a review shortly.

So what did you all get in your Ipsy bag? I actually liked my bag. It wasn't my favorite but I didn't hate everything inside either.

YUMMMM I'm eating one of these bad boys right now. These are so freaking good! I received 3.

12.  Plantain Strips with Sea Salt by Artisan Tropic
I didn't care so much for these. I expected sweet and these were more salty. But they are Non GMO, Vegan, and Gluten Free

13. Savory Bar by Mediterra
This bar is Non GMO, and Gluten Free

14. Mini Peanut Butter Clutter Bar by Jimmy Bar!
Ah this was good too! Not too sweet, but just good!

~Born This Way~ & ~Hangover~

Yep Another Too Faced Product! Can you tell, I like this brand??

I normally do Not wear liquid foundation. I have very dry and sensitive skin, and so far every brand I have used just didn't work for me....
Until Now

I really liked this liquid foundation. I bought the shade Light Beige, and it's actually really really close to my color. I swear that never happens for me. It's either too light or too dark. Never this close. Let me shut up about the color and tell you more about the foundation. It's nice. It's really smooth, goes on well and blends. I couldn't believe it, but it covered my dark circles under my eyes.(#mommylife)

I tried to apply it 3 different ways. First I tried to use my Real Techniques brush, and honestly that was just a hot mess. I tried my fingers next, and it went on pretty well. But still not as good as I hoped for. I was getting rather worried by this point. But I kept trying. I figured I would give it one last shot and went for the beauty blender. Bingo! Once I had that bad boy going, the foundation just went on beautifully.

Now trust me on this one. A Little Bit goes a really Long way! I am very happy with this foundation, and am keeping it in my makeup bag.

So

Onto the Hangover RX....Oh Wow...I am in Love with the smell of this product! It is made with Coconut Water. I am a Sucker for anything coconut! Anyway... This is a Replenishing Face Primer. Silicone Free, which is a Huge plus for me! Let me get you a little info from Too Faced about this product:

DETAILS

When long days of work and late nights of play give you a beauty hangover, this is your instant cure. Hangover is a revolutionary makeup primer infused with coconut water, probiotics and skin revivers that work together to boost skin’s radiance, promote elasticity and help hydrate while locking down makeup for fresher, longer and more flawless wear.
We harnessed the science of hydration to create a creamy, penetrating primer that acts like an energy drink for the skin by replenishing moisture levels. It can be worn alone for a dewy, healthy looking finish or under bronzers, foundations and powders to create the perfect canvas.

MORE TO LOVE:

  • The unique combination of coconut water, probiotics and skin revivers work together to:
  • Hydrate and brighten skin
  • Promote skin’s elasticity and tone
  • Soothe and smooth the skin
  • Get all the priming benefits you love while looking like you received eight hours of sleep and drank your daily dose of H2O
  • Vegan Friendly
  • Paraben Free

So after applying this primer, I could really feel it. Not in a good way though. It felt very heavy and almost tacky. My skin also started to burn and itch. Now I don't know if this was because I have such sensitive skin, or because my face is just so blasted dry! But it did really help hydrate my skin. It got rid of the dry patches I get on my cheeks. My makeup actually went on a little bit smoother too. ( I used my everyday powder foundation) If I can get past the itching, I will keep using this primer. I think if you don't have super sensitive skin, you would really enjoy this product!

Update: I can't get past the itch! My face turned soooo red and blotchy! I had to go wash the primer off. Huge bummer...

Urban Decay XX Vice Ltd Reloaded

Ahhh! I seriously have a thing for eyeshadow....Yes I have a lot...Like enough to open my own store...Shh...

Seriously let's all get together and say Pretty. This eyeshadow palette, is just so much fun!

Let me quit going all dork over here, and actually tell you about the palette. This bad boy comes with 20 different shades. Yep 20! ( I will list the names at the bottom of this page)  Apparently it is exclusive to Ulta, though. Let me get you some info, from Ulta's website:

This ultra limited-edition collection features 20 addictive shades of Eyeshadow that span Urban Decay's entire 20-year history. From vintage shades that go WAY back (like Gash, Acid Rain and UV-B) to must-haves from UD's current collection, it's all here. There are even a few new shades and several cult favorites from past palettes.

With a carefully crafted mix of new shades and old favorites, Vice Ltd Reloaded is the perfect representation of 20 years of UD. Experiment with color, go for a little smoke or play it neutral. UD included three totally NEW shades, five vintage shades, five exclusives from past palettes (like Vice, Vice Ltd and Book of Shadows Vol II), and seven bestsellers from their collection of singles. The kind of palette anybody can use, UD XX Vice Ltd Reloaded offers something for everyone. And this is the first time several of these shades have been available in UD's revamped shadow formula!

I'm in love...Of course I had to try each shade out, and I'm not disappointed. They go on so smooth, not much dust, and they last a very long time. The color Mildew, Ha, I love it!

Candlelight Glow

I had to try these! I have not used a highlighter in Forever...I mean Forever...Ok random but since I am still low on blood, my skin just looks dull and very pale. I decided to buy both of the colors. Warm Glow & Rosy Glow

Left is Rosy Glow & Right is Warm Glow

A little quick info from Too Faced about these highlighters:
Never settle for bad lighting—create your own! We’ve revamped our bestselling highlighter by popular demand—and added a gorgeous new shade. Candlelight Glow amps up the wattage with PHOTOLITE technology, which diffuses and refracts light for glowing, lit-from-within skin under all lighting conditions. The sheer dual powders can be combined for a versatile, customized shade that looks gorgeous anywhere you apply, or use one at a time for the perfect soft-focus glow.

Rosy Glow on the Left & Warm Glow on the Right

Let me start with Warm Glow
I am really disappointed...This is very shimmery and extremely hard to blend in. I have super dry skin, and when I apply this, you can Really tell. On me it just goes on very patchy, will not even out no matter what I tried, and shows every line and dryness in my skin. Plus side, it was really easy to get off!

Ok on to Rosy Glow
Yeah read above! ^^
Seriously the exact same thing. Just looks like I put glitter on my face.

I am Beyond disappointed in these!! I do not see any hints of color in these, nothing but glitter. I'm bummed! What about you guys? Has anyone else given these highlighters a try? What did you think?
