Lets get this blog started off with my review on this months BirchBox!
So I have only been receiving Birchbox, for 2 months now. January's "Let's Do This!" was my 2nd box. I hate to be a stick in the mud, but I'm not very impressed with this month's box. First let me give you a list of the products I received.
#1. Davines Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion. This sample also came with shampoo and conditioner. Full Size would cost you $41
#2. Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45+. Full Size would cost you $39
#3. Harvey Prince Sincerely. Full Size would cost you $55
#4. Naobay Body Radiance Lotion. Full Size would cost you $18
#5. theBalm Stainiac. Full Size would cost you $17.
So if you were to buy full size on all of these products you would spend (Let's see if I did my math right) $170! So you are only spending $10 a month to receive 5 samples! That part I am excited about. I love to try new things, and by getting samples mailed to me, I get to try some things I wouldn't normally buy. Now on to my review.
#1. Davines Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion, with shampoo and conditioner.
This oil product is suppose to be Lightweight, antioxidant-rich serum that tames frizz, boosts shine, and prevents breakage.~According to my sample card~
I was actually very excited to try this. I have horrible frizzy hair and can seriously use some shine! I was so bummed when I tried this. I did not like it at all. It left my hair very greasy looking. On the plus side, it did tame the frizz.
Now the shampoo and conditioner.. Honestly I have such long thick hair, I didn't have enough to really form an opinion :(

Would I Repurchase- No. I would rather save my $41 and try to find something that didn't make my hair greasy looking.
#2. Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45+
Yeah No. The color I was shipped is Not even close to being the color I would use! I don't care for BB creams, but I figured I would give this one a shot. Even if it was the correct color, I still wouldn't use it. It was very heavy on my skin. It didn't blend very well at all.
Would I Repurchase- NO not at all
#3. Harvey Prince Perfume
Suppose to be sweetly spicy scent with Indonesian clove bud, Indian tuberose, and Japanese orange flower. It has a Very strong smell. If you do use this, Please Please only use one squirt! I sprayed this in my room 2 days ago, and the smell is still here!
Would I Repurchase- No I wouldn't. It doesn't smell too bad, but not something I would wear. My husband also hates it, so not something for me.
#4. Naobay Body Radiance Lotion
I had soooo hoped this would be amazing lotion. My skin is just so dry this winter. This lotion uses olive oil and avocado to hydrate and soften skin. Yet again I was so disappointed. It goes on very thick, but left my skin feeling very greasy. Huge bummer :(
Would I Repurchase- No I wouldn't, the search is still on for the perfect lotion

#5. Last but not least. theBalm Stainiac
This is a stain you can use on your cheeks and lips.
No, No, No, No...Need I say more? Ok I will... This was horrible for me. It felt like slim I put on my lips. I refused to put it on my cheeks.
Would I Repurchase- NO! Why would I put a stain on my cheeks??? I still have this on my lips after 2 days of trying to scrub it off! NO
Like I said before, I hate to be a stick in the mud. But I was not very happy with my Birchbox products this month. Fingers crossed next month will be much better. It is soooo exciting to see what surprises you get each month! On the positive side. I did get to sample products I would not have normally bought for myself.
