Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette

I am so excited writing this blog post. I finally bought the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette. I have the Semi Sweet palette and am in Love with it, so I hoped this one would be just as awesome! And it is, just as awesome! This palette is just fun. It has 16 matte and shimmer shades and of course smells like chocolate.

I'm going all dork over here...The shades in this palette are just so fun. They are not something I would normally be drawn to, which is what honestly makes them kind of fun. The names of each color is just hilarious. Each shade comes in heart shaped pans.

Colors listed from Left to Right
1. Almond Truffle
2. Satin Sheets (Large pan)
3. Sprinkles
4. Molasses Chip
5. Malted
6. Cashew Chew
7. Cotton Candy
8. Cafe Au Lait
9. Bordeaux
10. Mocha
11. Black Currant
12. Dark Truffle
13. Pecan Praline
14. Totally Fetch (Ha! Love the name)
15. Earl Grey
16. Divinity (Large pan)

I have tried every color and I have to say, I have no complaints about any of them, quality wise. Each shade applies very well, blends nicely, and stays put. There are a couple colors I really doubt I will ever use like, Totally Fetch (love the name), Cotton Candy, and Sprinkles. I say I won't use them, because I'm not really a pink kind of person. Just not my favorite color. Satin Sheets is also one I'm not a huge fan of, it's Super shimmery!
Now my favorites are...Earl Grey, it's just a beautiful shade. Black Currant, where have you been all of my life??? Dark Truffle, just pretty and makes my eyes really pop...What am I talking about, other than the pinks I love them all!

Dr. Brown Bottles, Formula, & A GIVEAWAY!

So I have had a lot of mom's send me messages asking what kind of bottles and formula I use for my daughter. FORMULA...ugh... Let me just start with the bottles... I tried a few different brands but my baby girl, took best to Dr. Brown bottles. We have been using the options bottle.

Here's a little info for you from the Dr. Brown's website:

Introducing Dr. Brown’s Options: The market’s first convertible bottle that can be used with or without the vent system. The new vent system is designed to grow with baby, and we recommend using this system to experience all the health benefits of our bottle. It helps reduce feeding problems, helps digestion and helps preserve vitamins. Some moms and dads find removing the vent a convenient option as their baby’s feeding becomes more developed. The nipple venting creates a paced flow, and provides a feeding experience similar to most nipple-vented bottles

We recommend using the vent system to experience all the health benefits of our bottle
  • Helps reduce feeding problems
  • Helps preserve vitamins
  • Helps digestion
  • Vent and nipple create vacuum-free feeding
For my daughter these bottles seemed to be the best, to reduce gas. I'm very happy with these bottles. And they are Super easy to clean! The vent comes right apart, so you can get every little nook cleaned.
Washing some bottles

My only complaint is having to buy larger sized nipples. You can't buy the larger bottles with a size 2 nipple. You have to buy them separately  and of course you get a 2 pack of nipples, but a 3 pack of bottles...Oh well....

Now about the formula I use...Yeah don't even go there...Seriously... My poor baby has been on I swear 6 different formulas. Since she was born she has been "vomiting" her formula. (And none of this negative, you should have breastfed her crap! I couldn't. End of Story) We have tried everything that was suppose to help with that and nada. Her pediatrician says some babies just go through this, and she should out grown it shortly. At the moment she is on Enfamil, Gentlease. I don't want to jinx it but so far she is keeping almost all of it down! YAY!

Let me get onto the Fun part of my post. I will be Giving Away A Brand New Set of Dr. Brown's Options Bottles (3pk)! All You have to do is Subscribe to my Blog, Follow me on Instagram & Facebook, and Leave a Comment about why you would like to win these for your sweet baby. Please do not try to win these if you do not have a child!

The Winner will be chosen at Random, and Announced February 4th.
Good Luck Everyone!

Ipsy ~January 1016~

So I started back up my Ipsy subscription. Honestly now I remember why I cancelled it in the first place....Ugh...Yep negative Nancy over here...But I will give it at least another month. You can't always get amazing stuff every month, right???

Anyway

This month I recieved a very ugly bag...hummm...The theme is All Eyes On You

Inside was:

1. Hanalei Sugar Lip Scrub
I don't know what on earth I will do with this...Apparently it gently exfoliates your lips using real Maui sugar crystals. Okie dokey...

 2. theBalm Cosmetics Mr. Write (Now)
My color is Jack B. Bronze. I really wish I would have gotten this in a different color. I probably won't ever use this but it is a really nice Eyeliner.  It goes on very smooth and really does stay put.

3. Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes CURL
Seriously who comes up with these names?? But they are cruelty free! Huge plus! It's just a basic mascara. I wouldn't say anything special, but it does the trick.

4. City Color Cosmetics Eyeshadow Trio in Falling Leaves
This is horrific eyeshadow! I mean bad...Very dusty and clumpy. It does not apply smooth, and very hard to just blend. This one will be going into the trash.

5. pur~lisse BLUE LOTUS 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum
Honestly I will not even give this a try. I have super sensitive eyes, and anything like this around my eyes, will make them swell up like no tomorrow. But if your not like me, this serum is suppose to fight against wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness, while hydrating and lifting the delicate eye area.

Sooo What did you guys get inside your Ipsy bags this month?? Anything good?

Fab Fit Fun ~Winter Box~

I was seeing reviews everywhere of the Fab Fit Fun boxes. So of course I had to give it a try. And I'm honestly pleasantly surprised. I really liked my first box.

Inside was 9 items

1. Candlenut Body Creme by Juara
I really liked the smell of this boxy creme. I put it on about an hour ago now, and my hands are still soft. Only complaint, it does leave my hands a bit greasy.

2. Wine Stopper & Charm
Cute! I'm a dork I guess, but these little guys were too cute! And of course I had to crack open a bottle of wine so we could use them...

3. Travel set with special cleansing gel, toner, and skin smoothing cream by Dermalogica.
Ok I was scared to use this. I have super sensitive skin but I figured I would give this a shot.

4. Fingerless Gloves
Super cute! These arrived at the most perfect time. The Weather Channel is calling for a chance of snow here in South Carolina this weekend. These gloves are surprisingly warm. Just a tad itchy but I'm going to see if I can wash them, and soften them up a bit.

5. Diffuser (Sugar Cookie Scent)
This smells sooo good! I have a thing for sugar cookie scents...Don't judge me....

6. Nail Polish by Zoya (color Dakota)
Yay nail polish! I have a thing for nail polish, what more can I say???

7. The Donna Earbud
Eh they are earbuds. I don't use them, but I will give them to my husband who will get good use of them.

Ok here's where things get kind of iffy. I don't think these items should be included. I would have much rather gotten actual items

8. $40 Gift card to Sweet & Spark
Like I said, I would have rather gotten actual items instead of this gift card.

9. $25 Gift card to Shoptiques
Ditto on the items instead

Overall I'm super happy with what I received in this box! I do really wish I wouldn't have gotten gift cards, instead of items. But I'm not going to complain that much...humm....
Oh I also received 3 Free meals from Hello Fresh, BUT you have to sign up for a subscription...Really??? I mean Really??? Oh well....

BarkBox ~January 2016~

Well this is my last BarkBox. Honestly for the cost, it's just not worth it for my dogs. They are in Love with the toys, but so far have only liked maybe 2 treats. Anyway let me get down to the box. This month's box is Bark & Co. Peace, Ruv & Happiness.

This is a Hippy Themed Box

So after having to search their site, I finally found what was inside my box. Apparently now they do not include an info card....Ugh...They want you to download their app. No thank you....

Anyway

Inside was 5 items.
1. Ozzie the Hippie ~ This was a big hit with my dogs! Unfortuntaly Ozzie is now missing an arm and his leg is just about gone...
2. Elk Chew ~ This was gone fast. I mean fast...I ordered the large box, but this treat was made more for a smaller dog. Mine ate it in one gulp and choked...And Yes I was supervising him
3. Lucy's Magic Bus Toy ~ Another hit here. The dogs were fighting over who got to play with it first! Well not really fighting but a lot of tug of war going on...
4. Ziggy's Disco Fries ~ Yeah no. All 3 dogs hated these. I mean I have one who will eat almost anything, and he wouldn't touch this treat.
5. Some type of duck treat~ I can't find this on the website anywhere and I'm too lazy to go down stairs and get the name....This was actually a hit. It was soft enough to break into pieces, so each dog was able to eat off of the same piece.

Sam with Ozzie the hippie

Over all 3 out of 5 items my dogs liked. But like I said this will be their last box. They get excited to see the box come in the mail, but to spend so much money on 2 toys...I plan to save the box and just fill it full of toys every month. I really wish BarkBox would come out with a toy only box. Depending on the cost and if you can pay every month or not, that would probably be something I would get.

BoxyCharm ~January 2016~

So this is my first BoxyCharm box. I've been debating for a while now, on getting this subscription box. The cost was what was throwing me off, but I figured you only live once! So ba ba baaaa (yeah that was a drum roll)...On to the box.

Inside I found 4 full sized items

1. Blinc Mascara Amplified
So I'm a little iffy on this mascara. It says it puts "tubes" on your lashes. Apparently it will give you volume and is water resistant. With the "Tubes" you are suppose to be able to apply as many coats as you want without clumping. Humm I don't know..I might give this a try. Key word...Might...

2. Coastal Scents Reveled Smoky
I'm actually excited about this shadow palette. There are a lot of deep colors, which I am a fan of.

3. Royal & Langnickel Brush Set
Hey who can complain, it's a brush set! I love brushes. These are 100% vegan, synthetic fibers.

4. Starlooks Luxe Eye Liner Pen
I've heard a lot of people say this is a great eye liner. So far it does seem like an awesome eye liner. I will get back to you on it though.

Overall I do like the box. I'm still not sure if I'm sold on the $21 a month though. But this was my first box, so I have to at least give it another try. Until Next Month

Freeman Face Mask's

I am way obsessed with these Face Mask's. I have another review up on Freeman's Chocolate & Strawberry mask. Oh my gosh that mask smells soooo good. I swear it smells exactly like chocolate and strawberry! And it makes my face feel so soft and really helps get rid of the dry patches I get. So of course since I'm running low, I had to stock up.....At least that's what I am telling the hubby....Shh

Let me just List the masks I bought:

1. Tea & Lemon Clay Mask
2. Charcoal & Black Sugar Mask
3. Dead Sea Minerals Facial Anti-Stress Mask
4. Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Mask
5. Pineapple Facial Enzyme Mask

I might have went a little overboard..BUT they were on sale!

Seriously the Tea & Lemon Clay Mask, I had to buy only because of the First line of the description. "Charm skin with a little southern comfort in the form of Sweet Tea spritzed with a squeeze of refreshing Lemon!" (From Ulta's Website)
I'm from the South so I had to buy it!

I'm pretty sure I won't need to buy any masks anytime soon!

Too Faced

When I saw these two lipsticks I knew I had to have them! They are La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream, by Too Faced. I love Too Faced, I have a bunch of their products but this is the first lipstick.
Left is Sugar Daddy & Right is Unicorn Tears

Now get the names of these shades. The first is Unicorn Tears. Which is an iridescent shimmer.
The second is Sugar Daddy, which is a nude rose. This whole collection features some pretty off the wall names.

Ok let me shut up about names and get to telling you about these lipsticks or lip cream as they are called. (I'm sticking with lipstick)
They are infused with white lotus flower extract (Ok??) which is suppose to help hydrate, sooth, and condition your lips. I don't know about all of that but hey what every floats your boat.

Unicorn Tears is actually a pretty light blue shade with glitter. It looks Amazing over Sugar Daddy. Not so much on it's own though. And you get glitter ALL over your face! Huge negative! But a pretty amazing combo with another shade.

Sugar Daddy is just a pretty nude shade. It looks great on it's own but like I said, amazing with Unicorn Tears over it.
Both have a very nice formula. Goes on smooth and seems to really stay put. I wore Sugar Daddy today and it stayed on for a good 4 hours.

Right now Ulta is running a special on Too Faced products. If you spend $35 you will receive a deluxe size Better Than Sex Mascara! Seriously Amazing mascara! This offer only lasts until 1/23 or while supplies last. If you are interested in getting one of these click Here.

Bio-Oil

Lamp Black, Wolf Grey

Well I have finally finished Lamp Black, Wolf Grey. And I'm honestly kind of sad it ended. I Love when books hook you to the point, where your sad they ended. Ahh and this book so did that for me.

Now don't let the title throw you off. It's an odd title for sure but does fit with the story.

This novel is about 2 women. One in present time and one in the past. It's also about Merlin. Yeah that Merlin...Anyway...
So Laura (present main character) is an artist who desperately wants a baby. She convinces her husband to move to this Welsh mountain town, in hopes she will conceive there. Once there she meets this creepy man Rhys. She also meets this old sweet woman Anwen..Ok the names just have thrown me so off....As usual strange things start to happen...I can't give away too much! Let's just say Laura was a bad girl.
Then you have Megan (past character). Megan is a nurse maid to children of a prick Lord Geraint. Her story and Laura's are intertwined. I must say I really enjoyed reading about Megan. That's what had me hooked. Except I'm mad as hell about what happened to the horse. Seriously you couldn't leave that part out?? Humm...animal lover over here...

Anyway...I Loved this Novel! I hate it ended but ahh on to the next

The 5 Slot Organizer

I enjoy watching Youtube Video's in my spare time. Not as often anymore with my daughter but I do still get in some time. One of my favorite people to watch is Coffee Break With Dani.
Dani teamed up with Zahara Beauty to create this 5 Slot Organizer.

Of Course I had to have it. Well three to be exact, you can't just get one!

This slot organizer is awesome. It's a Lot bigger than I expected it to be. It also comes with little feet on the bottom, which will prevent slipping. Can we all just get together and say Nice. How annoying is it to have your organizer filled and then it falls off the counter...Anyone else had this happen Or just me and my special self??

Humm I might need some more brushes
Anyway enough about me and my clumsiness...

Anyone else bought one of these bad boys?? What do you think? I love mine, I've been wanting to get an organizer but just haven't found one that didn't seem cheap. This one just looks and feels nice. Very nice quality and huge slots! I'm happy as a clam...humm I might need some coffee...

Petunia Pickle Bottom

Since I announced I had a baby, I have received a ton of emails from you guys asking what kind of diaper bag I used. I use the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack.

This diaper bag was a gift from my mother. It's a bit on the pricey side. Who am I kidding, it's flat out expensive! But it's a nice looking diaper bag. To me it's sleek and stylish. The bag has built in pockets, a changing station, and multiple carrying options.

I want to like this bag so much. I Love the way it looks, but in reality it's just not enough room.

As you can see it's slam full. I really don't even have much inside. I have 2 bottles, a bottle of water, bottle of formula, 1 outfit, 1 bib, 1 thin blanket, 1 jacket and 1 hat. That's all I could fit into the inside. Now remember this, my daughter is only 2 months old. So her clothes and bottles are small. I'm afraid to see how full it will be when her clothes are bigger and I start carrying around toys.

Horrific picture but this is the area where I keep the diapers, and it's also where the changing station is located.
The changing station is awesome! But it takes up so much room (it's bulky). On both sides are zippers that unzip and fold out. That's probably one of my favorite features of this diaper bag.

I think I will eventually get a larger bag, hopefully from the same company. The quality of the bag is really nice and so easy to clean. Just like I said, it's not quite enough room...At least for us...

Instyler Max ~Wet to Dry~

I have been wanting to try an Instyler rotating iron for the longest time. I am forever seeing the infomercial at night on TV. So I caved in and got one. Gosh they are expensive! I think I'm just cheap...

Anyway I bought the Wet to Dry iron. I hate to blow dry my hair. I have super thick, long hair. So when I blow dry, it takes me forever and I swear I end up looking like a poodle. My hair no matter what brand or products I use, still ends up a poofy hot mess! So I really hoped this iron would work for me. I mean come on who doesn't want a blow dryer/flat iron, all in one?? Saves you a lot of time right??

I was so excited to give this a try. I came home, jumped into the shower and plugged this bad boy in. Now I did towel dry my hair a bit before I gave this a shot. There is no way, soaking wet hair would work with this iron. It would take you Forever!

This bad boy heated up fast!   Because I have such thick hair, I put it into a bunch of small sections. And it took me Forever to get my hair dry....Ugh...Ok so I ended up just blow drying my hair...Ok no big deal, I figured it wouldn't dry my hair anyway...

So let's skip the drying part and just try to straighten my hair instead....Back to a bunch of tiny sections...Seriously an hour later (and a couple of check ins by my husband, because I was in the bathroom so long)  my hair was straight.

Please don't get me wrong, this iron Did in fact straighten my hair. It just took me freaking Forever!
I had to do each section at least 3 times, which does become a pain in the butt. I guess if my hair wasn't as thick...I don't know. My flat iron I use now, it takes me maybe 10 minutes to get my hair straight. Which with a 2 month old baby, is a lot more convenient than 1 hour.

Other than Time my only complaint is my hair got stuck in the rotating part...Can we say Ouch...

What does everyone think? Any one else given this Rotating Iron a try?

Smashbox X-Rated

I've heard good things and bad things about Smashbox's X-Rated mascara. According to the details this mascara is suppose to give you thick, voluptuous lashes...Ok sounds good right?? It's also sold as a build-able mascara, which usually means your going to get clumps like no tomorrow. But it says no flaking or smudging and clump resistant for up to 12 hours. Hum....Ok....

Now I did get off to the wrong start with this mascara. I found the tube to just feel very cheap. And for $22 it's not cheap! The handle for me also was awkward to hold. Just felt clunky and big.
But
I did give it a good honest try.
And
I'm not that impressed...Bummer...You know I'm going to give you my honest thoughts on this mascara. It's nothing special. I absolutely hate the handle of the wand. For me it was awkward to hold and try to apply the mascara.
Now it did give me longer looking lashes but as I feared it did clump. I honestly do not see how you could apply more than 1 coat with out it turning into horrific clumps. The first coat didn't look too bad, did have a few clumps, then I made the mistake of doing a second coat. It was on after that! Clump City....

SO
All in All, I'm good. I won't buy this again. If I'm going to be spending that kind of money I will either go with Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara or Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara

New Blog...New Page...

So I think I'm going to quit using this blog and move completely over to my website. I just got it up and running but I will hold off on completely moving over there until I know if it will be as successful as this blog. Let me know what you guys think, if you like it better or this blog better.

The Silver Witch

I'm on this weird mission to read all of Paula Brackston's books before her new one, The Return of the Witch comes out later this year. So far I'm doing Ok..I've read The Silver Witch, The Witch's Daughter, and working on Lamp Black, Wolf Grey. Only 3 more to go before her new one comes out, and with a 2 month old it's not the easiest thing in the world to do!

On to the book. I enjoyed most of this book. By the end I was seriously ready for it to be over. I was in Love with the setting of this story. The main character Tilda moves to a secluded Welsh cottage with a beautiful lake near by (at least in my mind it was beautiful), Then weird things start to happen, so on and so on. I don't want to ruin the story for you guys! The story also follows another woman  Seren who lived in Celtic times by the same lake. Her story is one that started to get a little old and a little weird. I Hate the way her story ended though! I read it and was just like freaking really, but what happened, why is there no more information?? You will understand what I mean when you read this book.

When I'm reading a book I like to feel like I'm in the story. I like to imagine the place where the story is set. With this book I was able to do that. I could see the cottage, the lake, and the characters in my mind. But like I said, by the end I was ready for it to be over. Paula Brackston's writing seems to always include 1 main character from the present and 1 from the past. Sometimes this gets to be confusing, but not with her writing. You are able to keep up and not confuse who is who. Huge plus for me. On to the Next!

An update on Google Friend Connect

2 weeks ago by A Googler
In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

OPI Hello Kitty Collection

As you know I am in LOVE with OPI nail polish. I have to admit I was not very excited to hear OPI was coming out with a Hello Kitty collection...But...there were a few shades that caught my eye.

There are 12 Shades in this collection and 1 Special Edition shade. As you can see I only bought 4 of them.
1. My Pal Joey
2. 5 Apples Tall
  3. Let's Be Friends!
4. Spoken from the Heart

My Pal Joey
Totally my Favorite!
Let's Be Friends!
Very pretty pale Pink
5 Apples Tall
This is a pretty Pinky Red

Spoken from the Heart
Miss for me, but a nice pink color

These are actually really nice colors. Very vibrant and smooth to apply. Each one does dry very shiny and smooth with only about 2 coats. The only one that was a little bit streaky with was Let's Be Friends!
From Left to Right:
Spoken from the Heart
Let's Be Friends!
5 Apples Tall
My Pal Joey

From my understanding the Special Edition shade is Say Hello Kitty. It's suppose to come with Swarovski crystal bows and glue.

All in all, I like 3 out of the 4 shades I bought. My favorite is My Pal Joey! It's the perfect shade of blue that I have been looking for. 5 Apples Tall will be a perfect shade for Valentine's Day!

Also

I have been wanting to give these two a try for quite some time now. They are just darn Expensive!

OPI Drip Dry & RapiDry

I must say I am shocked, they actually work. My nails dried so much faster than if I just used regular top coat. I mean you can't go and open a can or start banging your nails on everything...but you can touch them after just a few minutes.

Been A While

So I haven't done any reviews in quite a while....Here's why...

I had a Baby!

Back in April I had gotten Super sick, with morning sickness. I mean SICK. I was losing so much weight because I was so sick. I didn't do anything for months and months. Then to top it all off I went into preterm labor. So I was put on bed rest. Still sick as a dog...I ended up having my little girl 3 weeks early. Unfortunately after about 15 hours of labor I ended up with a C-Section. Bummer...But she was healthy as could be!
Leave it up to me, I almost died after having her...I didn't see my baby for 12 hours! I was a hot mess. I was very lucky and blessed my husband was there for me and her. He was able to go spend time with our newborn baby (of course he didn't want to leave me, but I made him).

A few blood transfusions later (told you I almost died) I ended up with an infection from my C-section. Ugh...So I've been in and out of the doctors office every week since October.

But

I am finally starting to feel back to my old self.

So With that being said, I'm ready to get back into doing reviews. I have cancelled all of my subscription boxes, but I do plan to restart some of them. Maybe even a few new ones.

Right now I'm working on doing some reviews on books I've recently read, a few different cosmetic items, a few different baby items, the Instyler Max, ect...

I hope you guys will Forgive me for not being around in Forever!

If you have Anything you would like me to review, please send me a message!
